Noreen Holmes is a South African, now living as a retired missionary in Cape Town. Her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ began in 1954, at the age of 15.
After qualifying as a general nurse and midwife, she studied at the Bible Institute of South Africa where she met her husband, Justin Neville Holmes.
They served as missionaries in the Middle East, mainly Lebanon. In Beirut they adopted 2 babies - their daughter, Jeanette, now married to David, and their son, Paul, now married to Betsy. They have 4 grandchildren: Josh, Abby, Reece and Nora.
Most of the poems in this book were written sometime after their "retirement" in 2003.
