The complete discourse between Jesus Christ and Nicodemus is found in John 3:1-21.
But in John 3:14-15, that is where we read that Jesus Christ mentions Moses and the serpent in the wilderness. Why did our Lord bring this event in the discussion with Nicodemus? To clarify, an especially important truth in connection with being born again.
Here we must bring Rule 3 “Precepts must be upon Precepts.”
So now let us go and read Numbers 21:4-9, and learn for our understanding what transpired then, and we will be able with the Holy Spirit's guidance to draw the lessons we need to know.
Two comparisons:
a. The serpent – our enemy, Satan.
b. the venom – our ‘sin virus’.
John 14:4-5 Look at verse 5 Jesus is answering Thomas of what He said in verse 4.
John 14:6 “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.” He is saying “I am the only way” He said these truths in the time when they were multitude of beliefs around. And each one believing that they were the way, others there were the truth, and some saying that they were providing endless life. There are more of them today around us.
How do you know if you are on the path to heaven?
Jesus says, “I am all you need.”
How do you know, you are saved? A believer is 1. trusting the way of Jesus, 2. believing the truth of Jesus – about who God is, and 3. living the life of Christ Jesus – because He impart eternal life? To you and me.
By a deep desire to get to Know Christ Jesus more deeply,
Those who belong of the faith they must confess that they are of the way see:
1 John 4:2-3. This is a test of Jesus' declaration.
This is a test to know if someone has the life of God in them or not?
A person needs to confess that Jesus Christ is the infinite, Eternal God, God the Son coming in the flesh. God the Son dying and shedding His precious blood. To provide forgiveness of sins. The perfect vaccine against the ‘sin virus’ IS HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4. This is what our apostle Paul declared.
Anybody that does NOT believe that: does Not have eternal life from God.
